Great parking in 'I' lot. in old steel mill ruins.(walk up into the trestle to view the remnants of the steel mill and furnaces)
Buses park in 'j' and trucks in 'K'.
Security patrols all night.
Around 7 outlet stores in arcade.
Huge choice of ten cafe/restaurants to choose from, the buffet is good value.
Great casino with plenty of slots and tables to choose from.
the all you can eat buffet is not 24hr but it is also excellent.
At the extreme end of the parking area is a large lot near an old (and picturesque) smelting plant. There are angled-in parking for oversized vehicles on either side of the lot. On the Sunday we arrived this lot was filled with regular cars that had parked head-in on the sides and which had created and additional row of parked cars right down the center of the lot. As evening came on this lot cleared out. On the following weeknights that we were here, there were no cars parked at all, and there was plenty of space for RVs.
In addition to the big lot, there were a few oversized spaces along the side of the access road. These were not filled when we arrived, and we parked in one when we arrived on Sunday. These spaces were unmarked, and we weren't 100% sure it was okay to park there, but a passing security car waved to us, so we figured we were all right.
Dog owners: there is *no place* to run or walk a dog other than the paved parking area. Landscaped areas are few and prickly.
There is an active railroad line that runs the length of all the parking areas. Several trains passed though the night. Not overly noisy, but you know they are there.
Security. There was no need to check in or register. We were told by several people that the lots are well-patrolled. There we certainly guards galore working when we arrived on Sunday. They were less in evidence during the week, as we came to discover. At about 10:00 PM on Tuesday two cars came into the parking lot through a back entrance. While there were cars parked in the hotel area, the self-park area for the casino and the RV lot were pretty much empty. With all that empty space to pick from, the two cars parked right next to our RV. About seven young people got out of the cars and started to party. They didn't do anything threatening, but they were loud. And we were, I think, understandable concerned about why they picked that one spot to park in. Up until that time we had been seeing a lot of security patrols passing, so we waited for half an hour, hoping that matters would take care of themselves. Eventually we decided to call the casino to ask for a patrol to make sure everything was according to hoyle. About 10 minutes later someone came out and asked the group to move along. Both cars put down rubber leaving the parking area. So no harm done, more an annoyance than anything else, but we did feel a little intimidated and isolated.
The casino is only a short walk from the farthest parking area. On Sunday there were parking lot shuttles; didn't see those during the week.
The casino itself was nice. Not just slots; many table games. Several nice restaurants to chose from, as well as food court offerings. We ate at an Irish pub and had an acceptable meal; we probably would have been happier if we'd picked pub-grub rather than the more high end choices we made. On Sunday night everything was open and everything was crowded. Some of the restaurants alternated being closed on weekdays, as did some of the bars.
There is also a small mall attached. Decent enough stores, though nothing to make this a shopping destination in my opinion.
Bottom line: we might go back is we're passing this way and need a spot to overnight, but we won't particularly look forward to it.

How much money can you make online poker. Jul 20, 2012 How much Online Poker Pros Make. Most low to middle limit cash game players will make about $1,000 per month just in rakeback. That is around $12,000 per year extra that you get just for playing poker. Live poker players don’t see this extra money each month and it is a reason why online poker is much better than live poker. Every Sunday, PokerStars runs 7 major tournaments with millions of dollars in total prize money. Last Sunday the biggest winner earned $175K. Then there are the cash games. Top online cash game pros, playing at the “nosebleed” stakes, boast seven figure yearly salaries. Winning regulars on mid-stakes (NL200-NL1000) can earn anywhere between $0 - $25,000 and we could do the math on each stake with different volume and win rate, but if you want to become a professional, the aforementioned details should be enough to be able to calculate whatever stakes you wish to calculate, so we're just going to leave it like this. Here is how much money you can make playing online poker in 2020 (for the average person). Pros like myself will make far more than this. NL2 - $150 per month NL2 (blinds 1c/2c) is the lowest limit that you can play in online poker. The money isn't amazing by any means but the winrates are the highest here. Indeed, over the course of 1,383,179 hands of online poker he has lost a staggering $15,628,983. These losses certainly belie how skilled he actually is and sit in stark contrast to the amount he's won in live cash games and tournaments ($11,240,677).

Wind Creek Bethlehem plans $90M second hotel
December 9, 2019

Wind Creek Bethlehem celebrated its grand opening last week after purchasing and rebranding of the former Sands Casino Resort at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Wind Creek also confirmed it will start construction in early 2020 to expand their new property.
The first phase will be a $90 million hotel with 276 rooms and 42,000 square feet of additional convention space. The ground breaking is expected in early 2020 and construction will take 14 months to complete.
The second phase is a $250 million adventure and water park project at the historic No. 2 Machine Shop. This will be a 300,000-square-foot attraction. Wind Creek is seeking a partner for this project but is committed to proceed alone if the 'right' partner is not found.
These projects are estimated to attract an addition 1.4 million visitors per year.

Wind Creek Bethlehem Goal: 'No. 1 Resort Destination in the Northeast'
May 27, 2019
The $1.3 billion sale of Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem to Alabama's Poarch Band of Creek Indians can now proceed with this week's approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The Board also approve licenses for the tribe and its gaming executives. The casino will be managed by Wind Creek Hospitality, the gaming and hospitality operation for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
Wind Creek President and CEO Jay Dorris said: 'Our expectation for this property is it will be the No. 1 resort destination in the Northeast.'
Two major projects are planned to achieve this:
$90M HOTEL EXPANSION
Wind Creek will build a 276-room hotel and add 42,000 square feet of meeting space. This will add to the property's current 282-room hotel and 27,000 square feet of meeting space. Construction is expected to last 2 years.
$250M ADVENTURE AND WATER PARK
This project will transform the No. 2 Machine Shop of the old Bethlehem Steel factory into a 300,000 square foot water park and 400-room hotel.
How to pick the right slot machine. These property enhancements are estimated to add 1.4 million visitors to the current 9 million visitors per year.
Sands Casino is renamed Wind Creek Casino and Resort
March 18, 2019
As the sale of Sands Bethlehem to Alabama's Poarch Band of Creek Indians is in the final stage of approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, the new name of the casino was unveiled this week when the sign on the ore crane was changed to Wind Creek Casino and Resort.
Approval to change the sign was approved by the Bethlehem Planning Commission last week following a presentation by Wind Creek Hospitality. Wind Creek Hospitality is the gaming and hotel operation of the Alabama tribe.
The board approved changing all signs to the new name. The Outlets at Sands Bethlehem will be renamed The Outlets after the sale is finalized.
When the sale is finalized, Wind Creek Hospitality plans to break ground on a second hotel as part of a $190 million expansion of the property. They are also considering building an indoor water park.
Sands Bethlehem Bethlehem is sold to Alabama Tribe
March 08, 2018
On Thursday an announcement was made that the Sands Bethlehem Bethlehem is being bought by Wind Creek Hospitality. The company is owned by the Alabama based Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
$1.3 billion is being spent to purchase the property.
The tribe is made up of 3,000 members. They currently have casino locations in the northwestern section of Florida. Another location is in the southern area of Alabama. The casinos are considered smaller in size. They do operate with a Class II gaming license. This means they can operate pull tab based games, as well as bingo. Gaming regulators in Alabama will not allow for the operation of slot machines. Wind Creek has expressed interested in being able to operate slot machines.
The Sands Bethlehem will be nearly three times larger than the other facilities. Plus the tribe will be allowed to offer slot machine gaming.
A deal was made in 2016 to purchase the Margaritaville Resort Casino located in Louisiana. However, agreements on licensing of the name cause the deal to fall through.
The tribe also purchased 35 acres of land in Mississippi in 2016. Plans were announced last year for a new Wind Creek Casino location.
When the tribe bought the Sands Bethlehem questions were raised about possible other casino purchases in the future.
The gaming industry is not the only business that the tribe has invested in. OWA is an entertainment amusement park that was opened last year. It cost $260 million and is located in Foley, Alabama.
